Salone del Mobile 2023

From 18 to 23 April the Salone del Mobile returns to Fiera Milano Rho, the point of reference for international furniture and design.
But not only that, for all the dates of the calendar Milan will be invaded by numerous events and exhibitions.
History
Born in Milan in 1961 to promote Italian exports of the furniture industry and its accessories, today it is an event capable of involving all areas of design. After the years of transition and slowdown due to Covid, the 2023 edition promises to be the edition of the definitive recovery.
Shockino and design, a perfect combination.
Shockino also participated in several editions. The first in 2016, attending three different internationally renowned locations such as Minotti Cucine, Argenteria Dabbene, and NewForm.
In 2018, however, we return as an iconic product at HUG, an urban regeneration community based in courtyard of an ancient chocolate factory .
What is the link between Shockino and design?
Shockino Mix Experience is “Honorable Mention” in the Food-Design category. A unique recognition of its kind, for a product for true design addicts!
What is Food Design?
Food Design is the planning of food actions, i.e. the activity of developing the most effective processes to make the action of experiencing an edible substance in a given context, environment or circumstances of consumption correct and pleasant. [..] Food Design deals with edible products, communication, packaging, services and places related to the sale and consumption of food.” (taken from the official definition drawn up for the Food-Design Manifesto)
This is how shapes, weights, ingredient selections, packaging design and the total interaction between product and consumer elevate a simple praline to a truly designer product, unique in the world.
In fact, during the first edition of the ADI Compasso d'Oro International Award, dedicated to the theme 'Design for Food and Nutrition', which took place on 2 December 2015.
The jury awarded 16 Honorable Mentions to as many products, selecting 91 objects from the nominations proposed from all over the world. The jurors, selected by ADI, were: the designers Ron Arad and Denis Santachiara (president), Daniela Piscitelli, the journalist Aurelio Magistà and the professors Livia Pomodoro and Paolo Sorcinelli.
